Mitsuo does hope that you will try the game with the proper dialogue settings though because Cuff is instrumental in explaining backstory important to the plot. If you’re not a fan of debatably witty banter distracting you from fighting those “freaking dragons,” then you can turn down the frequency of how often Frey and Cuff talk to each other in the “accessibility menu.” To that, Mitsuo has some very good news: you can turn down the frequency of the dialogue. It made the game sound like it was for children rather than adults looking for their next big combat-intensive game. That being said, the memeable trailer was pretty bad. Trailers that give everything away are the worst. It seems that he is more concerned with the quality of the gameplay experience than laying all of the cards on the table to generate buzz. In an attempt to not spoil or lessen the emotional impact of the game in a series of marketing materials, there is a lot of out-of-context dialogue out right now. Mitsuo explained that Forspoken is a narrative-driven adventure game. Square Enix says Forspoken dialogue memes have no context but admits some are really funny Forspoken creative producer, Raio Mitsuno, responds to that infamous Forspoken trailer. Its world and story have also often been described as bland and uninspiring.A beautiful and cruel new land? Twisted monsters? An array of magical abilities? Sentient jewellery!? Unfortunately, even it, as a brand-new IP, was criticized for feeling too "done before." For example, as previously discussed, critics argue that the dialog is cringy and follows in the same vein as all the major Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Perhaps if it had offered something new for fans, it would have been better received and could've helped the AAA space to progress. Unfortunately, Forspoken only reinforces this point further. As a result, the cycle of AAA titles following the same formulas will continue, which is disappointing for gamers who are bored with experiencing the same tropes time and time again. Such implications are hugely damaging to the industry as they stifle further opportunities for creativity, with developers and publishers opting instead for safer, more familiar gambles. Sadly, when new IPs, as in Forspoken's case, are not well-received, it implies that fans and critics don't want these new titles and would instead prefer tried and tested ideas when that's not entirely the case.
